Help with visual web designer 2008

Hello all:

I am fairy new to computers, but I love anything cerebral. I have tried stuff like php and ruby on rails, but I found them lacking. Now today has been horrible for me, a big fight with my bf, my friend thinking she could fix my comp with sytem restore. Followed by the loss of my true first love, visual web designer 2008 and silveright. I cried when this happened. I still want to cry right now. Its not working. I wish I knew more about this stuff so I could fix it myself. I wish Jesse Liberty could fly in my room and fix everything!!!! However since the universe we live in (dispite having millions of possible outcomes) is only limited to the ones that are NO fun. That is not going to happen. So here is my problem. After system restore I could not get any templates to run. I cannot find the installation directory, I am good with web building but not a systems specialist. The asp.net forum people just blocked my post when I asked for help, and I cannot just delete visual web designer and re-install it. It says I need to run some sort of reset package, and it fails to load every project I pull up. Can someone help me get back to Kansas? aka help me fix this problem? How can I retrieve visual web designer???
