new pc & I can't find my Quickbooks

Just got a new PC and cannot locate my QuickBooks even though the info from my old hard drive was transferred over.

I tried to redownload but received a message saying that the file already exists on my C drive (?) and do I want to overwrite? Do I want to overwrite?

I am using QuikBooks 2008 Starter from the Intuit website.


For some reason on my wifes desktop there is an icon with my business name but when I try to "run" I get another dll error and a message giving me a number to use with QuickBooks support if I decide to call them. That number is
80029c4a.


Any ideas? I also came across a QB file recovery download. Do I want to use this?

Please respond in the simplest of language because I am far from computer literate
