Problem with numeric field

In the database, I've got a numeric field which has to store up to 9 numbers of which 2 are decimals. Now I tried everything in the notation and number of decimals etc but whatever I do, it keeps going wrong. If I fill in 22,33 (the 33 is the decimals) I get as a result either 2233 of 22. Can someone give me some insight with what I need to fill in as field details for this to work?

You will need to use single or double as field size, or perhaps currency datatype. I suspect you are using integer or long integer.
