Pictures in Word

Hi,
I have a word document which has three pages, there is an image in each page (scanned images). I can not see how the images looks like, i have right clicked then pressed Format picture and then layout tab -> clicked " Square", the picture appears, but when i go to the next page it disappears.
Any suggestions.

Perhaps the graphics filters/converters are missing or corrupt. Try Help | Detect and Repair from within Word.
