Default Microsoft Document Imaging

Ok, issue is, how can a person highlight text and send to Word that is in a "TIFF" document. OCR was automatically ran, the receiver does not have scanner software installed. Can the receiver still send the OCR text to Word?

Thank you.

Roberta

You want to save the OCR text as a Word document? Sorry, I don't think I get your question.

Default MODI without scanner installed

1. Our mail is scanned as a TIFF document.
2. We can also use the print function to generate a Word doc to a TIFF doc.
3. Some do not have scanners on their desk and no scanner software installed on their pc.

Questions:

If OCR has been run by our mail scanner (it's got the eye in the corner), can the receipient copy part of the text or send the entire doc to Word without the scanner software installed on their pc? (Our mail scanner emails the docs to the people it's address to.)

If we use the MODI print function to generate a TIFF, can we still expect to use OCR?

Thank you for your reply and any answer you can give.
Roberta
