Error while printing a background image in Word

Hi,
I am trying to print a background image in Word 2003 that covers the entire page. It previews correctly but when it prints out, the image is repeated in a thumbnail version several dozen times. Settings in Word are correct and I cannot see anything on the printer to change. Can anyone help me on it please?

Hi,
Backgrounds (Format > Background > Fill Effects > Picture) are for Web Pages, not normal Documents. They will Print and Preview if the option (Tools > Options > Print (tab) > Include (section) > Background colors and images) is set. AFAIK they are always tiled on web pages and prints, but may be stretched in print view and preview mode. If you want something printed use a watermark or add your own picture to the header and position it where you want.
